Energol LPT/LPT-F |
Energol LPT is a range of solvent refined naphthenic oils primarily intended for the lubrication of refrigeration compressors.
|
Application |
Energol LPT 46 and LPT 68 are suitable as the crankcase lubricants for reciprocating and rotary compressors using Freon 12 refrigerant. While these oils are also used in Freon 22 systems, they are not miscible with Freon 22 at very low evaporation temperatures. Energol LPT-F 32 and LPT-F 46 are oils with low floc points and are particularly recommended for use in Freon 22 systems because they are miscible with this refrigerant at very low evaporation temperatures.
|
Main Performance Features |
- Low pour point.
- Low floc point.
- Suitable for Freon 12 (LPT) and Freon 22 (LPT-F) refrigerants.
|
Approvals |
Approved by, or meets the specification requirements of, major refrigeration and air conditioning equipment manufacturers.
|
Care and Handling |
The oils in the LPT range are free from moisture when packed. It is essential that these oils are maintained free of contaminants - especially moisture. This is because they are hydroscopic in nature and consequently exposure to the atmosphere will lead to water contamination. Oil storage containers should be as small as possible to meet oil replenishment requirements as closely as possible.
|
Packaging and Storage |
Supplied in drums of approximately 210 liters or small packs of approximately 20 liters. Note that the actual pack size may vary according to country of supply. Where outdoor storage is unavoidable, drums should be covered. The drums should be stored in such a way as to ensure they are not damaged and grade markings not obliterated; position them horizontally so as to prevent water collecting on drum ends. Ensure drums are tightly re-sealed after use.
