Energol RC |
Energol RC is inhibited oil for use in reciprocating air-compressors.
|
Application |
Energol RC is recommended for the lubrication of reciprocating-type air-compressors. It is particularly suitable for compressors with high air delivery temperatures - up to 220?C - where oils of inferior quality would quickly deteriorate and leave carbonaceous deposits within the compressor and discharge system. Energol RC can also be used for drip-feed vane-type compressors that require oils with good oxidation stability and incorporating rust inhibitors. In addition Energol RC can be used in circulatory lubrication systems of plain and rolling bearings that operate at high temperatures and in turbochargers.
|
Main Performance Features |
- Low deposit-forming tendency, hence longer intervals between overhauls.
- The possibility of extended oil-change intervals, hence a marked reduction in maintenance costs.
|
Approvals |
Energol RC 68 is approved by ABB Turbo Systems for VTR turbochargers for 3,000 hour oil-drain intervals. Energol RC 150 is approved for breathing air applications with Bauer air purification systems. Energol RC fully meets the standards set by leading compressor manufacturers world-wide and meets the requirements of DIN 51 506, Category VD-L, DIN 51 352 Part 2 (Pneurop Oxidation Test).
|
Care and Handling |
To be used in accordance with equipment manufacturers' recommendations, particularly with regard to oil and filter change intervals where appropriate.
|
Packaging and Storage |
Supplied in drums of approximately 210 liters and small packs of approximately 20 liters. Note that pack size may vary according to country of supply. Where outdoor storage is unavoidable, drums should be covered. The drums should be stored in such a way as to ensure that they are not damaged and grade markings not obliterated; position them horizontally to prevent water collecting on drum ends. Ensure packs are tightly re-sealed after use.
