| Energol IC-HFX
|| Energol IC-HFX 20 BN series are premium grade trunk piston engine lubricants formulated to provide superior performance in medium speed marine diesel engines.
Energol IC-HFX 20 BN series are recommended for medium speed trunk piston engines burning residual fuel, where system and engine operational conditions require a 20 BN crankcase oil. The operating load profile of marine diesel generators differs from that of main propulsion engines in that for long periods the load may only be 60-70% of its rated power. Under these conditions unnecessarily high BN oils are not favoured by some engine builders who feel that a 20 BN oil is sufficient for heavy fuel oil burning gen-sets. Furthermore, as environmental restrictions become more widespread, there will be a corresponding increase in the use of lower sulphur fuels, for these conditions lower BN crankcase oils may be beneficial.

|| Energol IC-HFX 203 and 204 are fully approved by MAN B&W and are accepted by Holeby for use in its range of marine diesel engine generators.
|Care and Handling
It is recommended that Energol IC-HFX 20 BN series are continuously centrifuged and/or filtered in accordance with engine manufacturers' instructions. Additionally it is important that engine manufacturers' oil change intervals are observed. On no account should these IC-HFX crankcase oils be water washed. Energol IC-HFX 20 BN series are compatible and miscible with existing Energol IC-HF grades.
|Packaging and Storage
Supplied in bulk, and drums of approximately 210 litres. Where outdoor storage is unavoidable, drums should be covered. The drums should be stored in such a way as to ensure they are not damaged and grade markings not obliterated; position them horizontally so as to prevent water collecting on drum ends. Ensure drums are tightly re-sealed after use.

It should be noted that used engine oils are likely to contain potentially harmful contaminants. Avoid skin contact with all types and makes of used engine oil. The British Petroleum Company plc or its subsidiaries will not accept liability if the product is used other than in the manner or with the precautions or for the purpose/s specified. Before the product is used other than as directed, advice should be obtained from the local BP office.
